The Swinging 60s brought revolutions in music and fashion, and also television. The place to be in the Swinging 60s was London, and British TV found itself at the cutting edge of television, with programs like Danger Man, The Prisoner and The Avengers. Cool and sexy, and unlike anything that had gone before. Science fiction arrived on TV with Dr Who, while even the kids’ shows were cool – series like Stingray, Thunderbirds and Captain Scarlet.

As the 60s gave way to the 70s, the mood got darker and grittier, with spy series like Callan and cop shows like The Sweeney. The science fiction had a darker edge as well, with Blakes 7 and UFO. But the coolness remained.

Rediscover the coolness of the great age of TV at the Cult TV Lounge.

We're also not going to ignore American cult TV. Discussions of any pre-1980 TV series are welcomed.
